Forbestown Center near the Burgos Circle end was completed in 2009. Café Juanita and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf were there since 2009 and are still very popular to this day. Some of those who did not make it to today, and missed by many, include : SugarHouse, Kebab Factory (at Forbeswood Height), and Henry’s Place, which were all still there in 2010, Rastro and Cantinetta lasted until 2014. Japanese restaurant Jozu Kin was opened in early September 2009, and was closed around 2014 also. Akira Japanese restaurant was here for a short while, like 2 years, and was closed in early part of 2015.
At the other end of Forbes Town Road, near the current location of Max Chicken, before construction of 8 Forbestown Road started, there was a cluster of restaurants that included a Japanese restaurant with a moving conveyor belt, called something like Sakura. All that was gone. But one restaurant that is still here since that time is UCC Terrace at the Megaworld showroom building. It arrived even before UCC Park Avenue at Burgos Circle. Because of its location, it used to be like a hideout place for discreet diners. With the opening of Burgos Square nearby, though, its quiet days may be over.
